At Be Like Us Tours, we create small-group experiences designed to help you discover each destination in a more responsible, sustainable, and personal way.

We believe in tourism that respects history, local communities, neighborhoods, the environment, and the people who travel to discover them. That’s why our experiences promote sustainable transportation—whether on foot, by bicycle, or by sailboat—while supporting local businesses and encouraging a more conscious way of traveling, away from mass tourism.

Our commitment is to provide safe, memorable, and high-quality experiences, paying attention to every detail from the moment you book until the end of your activity.

These Booking Policies & Terms of Participation are intended to ensure a clear, transparent, and enjoyable experience for all our guests. By making a reservation with Be Like Us Tours, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Bookings

All bookings are confirmed only after full payment has been received.

Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email containing all the relevant information about your activity, including the meeting point, departure time, and any important details to help you enjoy your experience.

2. Customer Cancellations

You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of your activity.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to belikeustours@gmail.com. The date and time the email is received will be used to determine whether your request falls within the applicable cancellation period.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the activity begins are non-refundable.

In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or duly documented force majeure, Be Like Us Tours may, at its sole discretion, offer a date change or a voucher to be used for a future experience. Each request will be assessed individually.

3. Date Changes

If you are unable to attend your booked activity, you may request a date change up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time.

All date change requests must be submitted by email to belikeustours@gmail.com.

Each booking may be changed once only and is always subject to availability.

Requests received less than 48 hours before the activity cannot be guaranteed.

4. Cancellations by Be Like Us Tours

While we make every effort to operate all scheduled experiences, circumstances beyond our control may occasionally require us to cancel or modify an activity.

These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • adverse weather conditions;
  • unsafe sea conditions;
  • technical issues affecting bicycles or boats;
  • guide illness or unavailability;
  • insufficient participants to operate the activity;
  • force majeure events.

Whenever possible, we will offer one of the following options, in this order:

  • an alternative date;
  • an alternative experience of equivalent value;
  • or a full refund if neither of the above options is available.

5. Weather Conditions

The safety of our guests and team members is always our highest priority.

Most of our experiences operate in light rain or normal weather conditions.

However, if weather conditions may compromise safety or significantly affect the quality of the experience, Be Like Us Tours reserves the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the activity.

Whenever possible, we will offer an alternative date, an alternative experience, or a refund, as appropriate.

If a guest decides not to attend solely because of a weather forecast while the activity is operating as scheduled, an automatic refund will not apply. However, we will review each situation individually and, whenever justified, will do our best to provide a fair solution.

6. Punctuality

We recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

We will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes after the scheduled departure time.

Once the activity has started, we cannot guarantee that late arrivals will be able to join the experience.

For bicycle tours and sailing experiences, participants cannot join once the activity has started.

For certain walking tours, the guide may allow late arrivals to join if circumstances permit.

7. No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

8. Bicycle Tours

Participants must be able to ride a bicycle confidently and safely.

If, before the activity begins, the guide determines that a participant does not have the necessary cycling skills, Be Like Us Tours reserves the right to refuse participation in order to protect the safety of the participant, the group, and other road users.

Some bicycles, particularly electric bikes, require a minimum rider height. If you are travelling with children or shorter participants, we recommend contacting us before booking to ensure suitable bicycles are available.

9. Sailing Experiences

All decisions regarding navigation may be made by either the boat skipper or Be Like Us Tours whenever safety concerns, weather conditions, or any other circumstance could affect the safe operation of the experience.

For safety reasons, these decisions are final.

10. Health & Physical Condition

Participants are responsible for informing us in advance of any injury, physical limitation, pregnancy, or medical condition that could affect their participation.

Be Like Us Tours will assess each situation individually and may recommend an alternative activity or refuse participation if we believe there is a safety risk for the participant, the group, or our team.

11. Participant Conduct

We want everyone to enjoy a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience.

Be Like Us Tours reserves the right to remove, without refund, any participant who:

  • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • behaves aggressively, offensively, or disrespectfully;
  • fails to follow the instructions of the guide or skipper;
  • endangers the safety of the group or others;
  • misuses or intentionally damages equipment;
  • disrupts the normal operation of the activity.

12. Equipment

Participants are expected to use all equipment provided responsibly and with care.

Any damage resulting from negligent, reckless, or intentional misuse may be charged to the participant responsible.

13. Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the activity.

Be Like Us Tours accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

14. Photography & Video

During our experiences, guides may take photographs or videos for promotional use on our website, social media channels, and other Be Like Us Tours marketing materials.

If you prefer not to appear in any images or videos, simply inform your guide before the activity begins, and we will fully respect your wishes.

15. Route Modifications

For safety reasons or due to special events, construction work, municipal restrictions, demonstrations, or any other circumstances beyond our control, the planned itinerary may be modified without prior notice.

Whenever possible, we will preserve the quality, duration, and overall spirit of the experience.

16. Force Majeure

Be Like Us Tours shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather conditions, strikes, government restrictions, transport disruptions, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
